Varnish Removal Filter System
Varnish (also known as lacquer, sludge, or tar) can be found in any lubrication or hydraulic system. This problematic condition is caused by dissolved and suspended oil degradation products. Lubricant sludge is a significant maintenance problem in many critical hydraulic oil and lubrication applications. Varnish can adversely affect systems such as gas turbines, paper machines, and compressors. It only takes a very small amount of sludge to keep a system from properly starting. This can even lead to a tripped unit in some cases.
So how do you prevent varnish or sludge from occurring? With a varnish removal system! Our newest available system uses a patented process called electro-physical separation, which utilizes a filter medium with oxidative stability.
