cently, we were contacted by a customer with a unique challenge. They required a custom filtration solution for a data center located in the Mid-West, with specific needs for removing water from diesel fuel.
The customer needed a custom filter housing designed to meet their exact specifications. The housing was to be placed outside, positioned on legs to keep it elevated and out of the snow. Furthermore, the filter vessel had to be mounted securely to a cement slab next to a control panel. There were only 30 inches of space between the panel and a supporting pillar, which meant that the filter housing needed to be custom fitted to this tight space. Additionally, the housing had to be designed to accommodate a specialized filter element that would effectively remove water from diesel fuel – an essential task for ensuring fuel quality.
We quickly responded with a custom solution for their unique challenge. Our team designed a filter housing that met the specific requirements, making sure the vessel could be mounted on legs, as well as fit into the 30-inch space between the control panel and the support pillar. The housing was engineered to accommodate a custom filter element, specifically designed to efficiently remove water from diesel fuel. With our expertise in industrial filtration, we were able to quickly design, manufacture, and ship the filter housing to the customer’s location, ensuring minimal downtime for their operations.
The installation of the filter housing was a great success. Following the installation, our customer provided positive feedback and shared a photo showcasing the filter housing functioning as intended. The custom housing not only met the space and installation requirements, but also delivered the performance needed to ensure clean, water-free diesel fuel for their data center operations.
